May 12, 2025: As part of the 2569th Buddha Purnima celebrations, a special ceremony was held at the sacred Sujata Temple in Bakrour, marked by the offering of robes, kheer, and prayers.
The event was led by Ven. Bhikkhu Chalinda, Chief Monk of the Mahabodhi Temple, along with resident monks and visiting Japanese monks. They were joined by Dr. Mahashweta Marathi, Secretary of the Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee (BTMC), and BTMC members Dr. Arvind Singh and Mr. Kiran Lama.

Following the solemn prayer ceremony, traditional kheer—symbolic of the offering made to the Buddha by Sujata—was distributed to all devotees and visitors present at the temple premises.
The event was a heartfelt tribute to the Enlightened One, celebrating his teachings of compassion, selflessness, and spiritual awakening.
