The Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee (BTMC) had the honor of welcoming Hon’ble Mr. Justice P. B. Bajanthri, Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, along with His Lordship’s son, on a visit to the sacred Mahabodhi Mahavihara Temple in Bodhgaya.




On arrival, Hon’ble the Chief Justice and his son were warmly received by the Dr. Mahashweta Maharathi,Member Secretary BTMC, BTMC members Mr. Kiran Lama and Mr. Arvind Kumar Singh, the Chief Monk Ven. Bhikkhu Chalinda, the Senior Monks Ven. Bhikkhu Deenanand, Bhikkhu Manoj. As a mark of respect and traditional hospitality, His Lordship was felicitated with a ceremonial khada (scarf) and a memento.
The visit included a guided tour of the sanctum of the Mahabodhi Temple, where Hon’ble the Chief Justice and his son offered prayers and participated in a sacred puja. They also received an insightful briefing from the Secretary, the Chief Monk, and the Senior Monk regarding the spiritual significance and rich heritage of the Mahabodhi Mahavihara, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A memento of the replica of Mahabodhi Temple was presented by Mr. Shashank Shubhankar, District Magistrate,Gayaji cum Chairman, BTMC to the Hon’ble Chief Jjustice.
