Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa head of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism visited the Mahabodhi Temple this morning to conduct the 23rd Kagyu Monlam, taking place under the Bodhi Tree in the premises of the Mahabodhi Temple, Bodh Gaya which commenced from 15th December and continue till 21 December 2025. Ven. Bhikkhu Chalinda, Chief Monk of the Mahabodhi Temple received His Holiness on arrival and escorted His Holiness to the Main Shrine of the Temple.
