The Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee (BTMC) held a prayer ceremony and lamp offering on June 13, 2025 at 5:30 PM in front of the Butter Lamp House at the Mahabodhi Temple to honour the memory of the victims of the tragic Air India flight crash in Ahmedabad. The ceremony was attended by Bhikkhu Chalinda, Chief Monk of BTMC, Bhikkhu Dr. Manoj, Senior Monk of BTMC, and other senior monks from various monasteries. Dr. Mahashweta Maharathi, Secretary of BTMC, Dr. Arvind Singh, Member of BTMC, along with BTMC staff and members of the Bodhgaya community, participated in this solemn tribute to offer prayers for the departed souls and support for their families. The lamp offering symbolizes peace, hope, and solidarity in the wake of this tragedy. The BTMC invited all to join in this moment of remembrance and compassion.
