Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar Visits the Sacred Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhgaya

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Nitish Kumar, visited the sacred Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhgaya, this morning. He was accompanied by the Chairman of the BTMC, Shri Sashank Subhankar On arrival at the Mahabodhi Temple he was warmly received by the Resident Monks of the Mahabodhi Temple—Venerable Bhikkhu Chalinda, Bhante Dinanand, Caretaker Monk of the Mahabodhi Temple, and Bhante Dr. Manoj—along with Dr. Mahashweta Maharathi, Secretary, and BTMC Members Dr. Arvind Singh and Mr. Kiran Lama.

Before proceeding to the Mahabodhi Temple, the Honb’le Chief Minister inaugurated the 2 Polo Carts acquired for the use of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, senior Religious leaders and senior Citizens.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister offered lights, incense, flowers, and kheer at the altar of the Main Shrine.

He was later guided around the sacred Bodhi Tree, where he offered flowers and prayers.
